George Cox supports Streetlife meals

George Cox has committed to supporting Streetlife Blackpool by donating a year’s worth of hot lunches to people in the town who are experiencing homelessness.

The donation is part the company giving back to the local community through social value. George Cox is currently building the new road at Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, and as part of the contract has committed to supporting a range of works and donations to help the local community.

Social value involves giving back to the local community, from helping local employment, using local businesses and supporting local charities and community groups and is a key part of all contracts for business working with Blackpool Council.

This donation will fund lunches for the individuals Streetlife serves, helping ensure no one has to go hungry while receiving the care and support they deserve.

As well as the donation, staff from George Cox and the Enterprise Zone will take part in the Big Sleep Out on 4 April to raise additional money for Streetlife.

Already, George Cox has committed to giving something back to Blackpool by promoting local employment and using local suppliers, working with local schools and making donations to South Shore Cricket Club.
