The development land has been released from Green Belt by Blackpool Council and re-allocated for planning use for employment purposes. This follows the building of Common Edge Community Sports Village.
The Eastern Gateway will begin with a new road, which provides access to the development plots and creates a second entrance and exit onto the Enterprise Zone. Work on the highway construction started in April 2024.
Once highways construction is under way, commercial land will be available to develop for Grade A industrial, warehousing or office units. The plots will be available as design and build (to let / for sale), joint venture or direct land sales.
The sites would be most suitable for businesses in advanced manufacturing, food and drink manufacturing and digital sectors.
