Works on Amy Johnson Way

Work on the corner of Amy Johnson Way by Chorley Group will start on Monday.

The work is to widen the junction at UK Aviation ahead of plans to build a new road into Blackpool Airport later this year.

Work will start on the grass verge on Monday. It isn’t expected to need temporary traffic lights other than for short periods to keep the site clean.

The footpath will close with pedestrians needing to use the footpath on the other side of the road.

This work will take around 8 weeks, but is part of a longer programme to create a new road into the airport. As part of these works, George Cox and Sons will also be setting up a small compound on the airport side of the fence.
