The Spitfire Visitor Centre wins Tripadvisor Award

The Spitfire Visitor Centre based at Hangar 42, Blackpool Airport has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2022 Travellers’ Choice Award winner!

This award celebrates businesses that have received great reviews from travellers around the globe on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months. The judges said: “As challenging as the past year was, The Spitfire Centre stood out by consistently delivering positive experiences to travellers.”

This means the Spitfire Centre is in the top 10% of attractions worldwide on Tripadvisor. John Coombes, Owner of The Spitfire Centre said:

“A huge thank you to everyone who visited and took the time to leave us a review. Thanks also goes to our wonderful team of dedicated volunteers, who all contribute in different ways towards making our attraction and the visitor experience so special.

“We now focus our efforts on the proposed new Education Building at Hangar 42 and to continue to build our plans to have Hangar 42, Blackpool Airport a permanent home for World War Two Warbirds.
