Tandem Bank are changing the future of banking right from Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone

We visited the solar-powered Tandem Bank offices and sat down with CEO, Alex Mollart, to learn more about the neobank, the benefits of being based on Blackpool Airport’s Enterprise Zone and more

Launched in 2014, Tandem Bank is one of the UK’s original digital challenger banks, focusing on providing key tips to their customers about their finances and how they can help save the planet.

Their mission is to help the UK transition to a lower carbon lifestyle by offering greener ways to save, borrow, spend and share – from low emission motor loans to lending for greener home improvements, they make it easier for more people to choose a greener lifestyle – helping save money and reduce carbon footprints.

Headquartered in Blackpool on the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, Tandem Bank employs over 500 people across the UK – with over 250 based at its headquarters in Blackpool and additional offices in Cardiff, Durham and London.

On being based in Blackpool and on the Enterprise Zone, Alex tells us how much Tandem Bank enjoy the benefits, such as easy access from the M6 and the M55 and the great facilities that staff can access. He goes on to tell us about the fantastic rent levels and the continued support from Blackpool Council.

He also tells us about the superb workforce available in Blackpool, great transport available and how exciting the regeneration taking place is alongside new developments like Silicon Sands.
