BLACKPOOL AIRPORT ENTERPRISE ZONE – PHASE ONE DEVELOPMENT PLANS
Venue: AFC Blackpool, Jepson Way, Blackpool FY4 5FH
Date: Tuesday 16 November 2021
Time: 15:30 – 18:30
A bold vision has been set out for the Enterprise Zone, where business is thriving and there are skilled job opportunities for all, at one of the NW’s premier business locations.
Over the lifetime of the EZ, plans will evolve every few years to fit the changing nature of business and market demands on the site. Since we started making plans in 2016, some things have changed, like the private purchase of the former Wellington Bomber factory at Squires Gate Lane, Blackpool Airport being brought back into Blackpool Council’s ownership, the opening of new football pitches for grass roots clubs, and work starting on site to develop brand new sporting facilities at Common Edge Playing Fields.
Since our last formal public consultation in December 2018, lots of things have progressed behind the scenes too, working closely with our lead consultants Cassidy + Ashton, and we want to share our progress with you.
For the first time in over 18 months, we believe it is safe for us to meet in person and are inviting the local community to come along to view and discuss our most recent plans in an informal setting.
If you would like to know more about forthcoming planning applications and Highway improvements and the chance to shape and influence the proposals, or just to speak with a member of the team delivering the Enterprise Zone, then please come along to our drop in event.
This informal consultation event will be Covid save and open to all with free on-site parking.
