A special course to help businesses with procurement starts in January.

Community & Business Partners is hosting a ten week skills bootcamp on procurement from 15 January. Skills Bootcamp in Procurement is an intensive training programme that covers all essential aspects of procurement. Participants will learn about strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, ethical purchasing, and cost-saving techniques

Skills Bootcamp in Procurement

Introduction

Welcome to the Skills Bootcamp in Procurement! Our bootcamp, is provided by Community & Business Partners and Essential Sourcing, and is funded by the Department for Education, designed to offer comprehensive training in procurement. This programme is in collaboration with the Lancashire Skills Hub, ensuring high-quality and relevant content. Whether you’re an employer looking to upskill your workforce, a company seeking qualified procurement professionals, or an individual aiming to advance your career, our bootcamp offers tailored solutions to meet your needs.

What is the Skills Bootcamp in Procurement?

Our Skills Bootcamp in Procurement is an intensive training programme that covers all essential aspects of procurement. Participants will learn about strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, ethical purchasing, and cost-saving techniques. The programme is designed to be practical and hands-on, ensuring that participants gain real-world skills that can be immediately applied in their roles.

Course Duration

  • 10 Weeks: 1 session per week, available with a mix of face-to-face and online.
  • Cohorts: 3 cohorts taking place from 30th July to 14th
  • Cohort 1: 30th July – 8th October – Community & Business Partners – Blackburn
  • Cohort 2: 16th October – 18th December – Lancaster Town Hall
  • Cohort 3: 15th January – 19th March – Blackpool Enterprise Centre.

Week 2 22nd January 9am – 1pm Sustainability Agenda
Week 3  29th January 9am – 1pm Sourcing Strategies
  31st January 9am – 1pm Procureneur Club – networking event

Week 4  5th February 9am – 1pm Supplier Relationships
Week 5  12th February 9am – 1pm Systems & Ops
Week 6  19th February 9am -1pm Basic finance
Week 7 26th February 9am -1pm The procurement culture
  28TH February 9am-1pm Procureneur Club – networking event

Week 8  5th March 9am – 3.30pm Milestones for your Procurement journey
Week 9  12th March 9am – 3.30pm Meet the buyer and ESG/CSR
Week 10  19th March 9am – 3.30pm Employability & Leadership
