Common Edge Road traffic lights removed
As part of the works at Common Edge Road to build the new junction to the sports village, we have been undertaking overnight road closures to complete the resurfacing. Last night, the majority of the base and binder was installed at the road and enough progress was made to remove all the temporary traffic lights.
There is still work to be done during the overnight closures to complete the resurfacing and put line markings back on the road, but we are hopeful that this remaining work can be done without the return of the temporary traffic lights and the road fully restored following Friday night’s closure.
Thank you for your patience during these works – the junction will allow the new £6m Sports Village to come into full use and support our work to make Blackpool better.
